Most Safaris from Mombasa by road visit the Southern Kenya Safari Circuit which covers Tsavo National Park - a vast arid region that encompasses Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks and the privately owned Ngutuni, Lumo and Taita Hills Game Sanctuaries. Further South is Amboseli National Park which features flat plains inhabited by huge herds of elephants, buffalos, lions and giraffes among other big game.
We offer custom Safaris that visit the Taita Hills' Ngangao Forest - one of the few remaining indigenous cloud forest fragments of the Taita Hills, Kenya. Ngangao is the second largest forest and one of the lesser disturbed forests of the Taita Hills. As a result, it is a stronghold for many plant and animal species. The three endemic birds species of the Taita Hills (Taita Thrush Turdus (olivaceus) helleri, Taita Apalis Apalis (thoracica) fuscigularis and Taita White-eye Zosterops (poliogaster) silvanus) occur in relative large numbers and some plants (e.g. Zimmermannia ovata) are only found in the dryer parts of Ngangao forest.
