We can arrange a safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, giving you a chance to see the Big Five, including tree-climbing lion. On boat trips along the Ishasha River, you can look for water-dwelling birdlife, hippo pods and elephant herds lining the banks. Or, trek with a guide through Kibale Forest National Park for a chance to see its 13 species of primate, including chimpanzees, red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

Incredible wildlife experiences and the warmest of welcomes await amongst Uganda’s rich patchwork of diverse habitats. Comparatively small, on the scale of Africa, Uganda has more than its fair share of the biggest and the best. Within its borders you’ll find the source of the Nile, the continent’s biggest lake (Lake Victoria), its tallest mountain range and many of the giants of the animal kingdom.

This is the most bio-diverse country in Africa, with vast tracts of rainforest, marshland, plains and snow-capped mountains. There are over twenty nature reserves to explore and opportunities for wildlife spotting abound, from hippos wallowing in the waters of the Kazinga Channel, to gorillas in the misty highland forests.

About Uganda

Uganda's southern border is dominated by Lake Victoria, her blue waters funneling into the Nile, which journeys the length of Uganda. Yet more water is locked up in the glacier-capped and mysterious Rwenzori Mountains - the so-called 'Mountains of the Moon' - that fringe the western border. In fact, unlike many other African countries Uganda seems to adhere to natural borders rather than arbitrary colonial-era straight lines, with the far north bound by the Sahara and the east transforming into arid plains. But for us, and in spite of the spectacular wildlife and landscapes, the highlight of any Uganda holiday is the Ugandans themselves. This is a country best explored by road and there's something hugely heart-warming about the waves and smiles from everyone you pass by on the road.

A safari with arlom is something very special. In September 2019 it was time again. And the conclusion of the safari: it was fantastic. It was a perfect match. We came to Kenya for our honeymoon and organized our 4 day private safari trip with Andy, leaving from Nairobi and stopping at Lake Nakuru, followed by Masai Mara and back to Nairobi.
