12 Days Great Kenya Safari

Day – 1 Nairobi
Arrive from KL 565, met by our representative and transfer to Nairobi Safari Park for overnight BB.

Day – 2 Nairobi Full Day Tour
Full day at Safari Park Hotel with optional excursions to Nairobi National Park, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, and Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen museum or Nairobi city tour. Lunch on your own. Overnight at Nairobi Safari Park Hotel BB

Day – 3 Nairobi – Samburu
0700 hrs after breakfast depart for Samburu National Reserve arriving at Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in search for the unique animals of the region such as the gravy zebras, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostrich and many others. Dinner and overnight Samburu Sopa Lodge FB

Day – 4 Samburu
Full day in the reserve dedicated to both morning and afternoon game drives with optional visit to Samburu villages.
All meals and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge FB

Day – 5 Samburu – Nanyuki
After breakfast, drive to the Mount Kenya region arriving at Sweetwaters tented camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive with a visit to Chimpanzee and Rhino Sanctuaries.
Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp FB

Day – 6 Nanyuki – Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and later depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stopover at Nyahururu Thomson Falls for a foto shooting. A game drive en-route to Lake Nakuru lodge for lunch.
Afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is known as a Ramsar birdsite specifically founded for the protection of the black and white rhino.
It is also a home for more than 450 species of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles and many others.
Dinner and overnight Lake Nakuru Lodge FB.

Day – 7 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara (315 kms)
Breakfast and thereafter drive further south west through the floor of the great rift valley with a stopover at the home town for the Masai herdsmen. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in the vast Mara plains in search for the predators such the lions with dark manes, cheetahs, leopard and many herbivores especially during the yearly migration of wildebeest between July – September.

Day – 8 Masai Mara
Optional Balloon flight in the early morning or a full day in the Mara dedicated to early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives or full day game viewing depending on one’s choice.
Afternoon visit to Masai village.
All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge FB

Day – 7 Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
Breakfast and later depart for Lake Naivasha arriving at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for lunch. Afternoon boat ride on lake Naivasha – freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge FB

Day – 10 Lake Naivasha – Amazing Kenya Retreat
Early morning 1 hour horse riding. Breakfast and later depart for Nairobi arriving at Amazing Kenya Retreat for lunch. Afternoon optional nature walk or game drives.
Dinner and overnight at Amazing Kenya Retreat FB

Day – 11 Amazing Kenya Retreat
Full day at Amazing Kenya with optional activities such as horseback riding, bike rentals, game walk, night game drives.
All meals and overnight at Amazing Kenya Retreat FB

Day – 12 Nairobi – Zanzibar

0530 hrs departure transfer for your Kenya Airways flight ETD 0810 to Zanzibar.
